You will recall from previous newsletters that some of our families who live in the catchment area set by the Owen McVeigh Foundation and who also meet the additional requirements again set by the Foundation would be able to enjoy a family break in the Lake District if and when the opportunity arises.
We are delighted to inform you that our first LDSA family enjoyed a family break there this last weekend.
Our chairman visited the family prior to them driving up to the Lakes to wish them well and also give them an LDSA goody bag to take up to Peacock Lodge.
We are pleased to inform you that the family enjoyed a much needed relaxing break and enjoyed some wonderful family time.
