Mental Health Awareness Day

mhad

In these unprecedented and uncertain times that we are living through, it is really important that we look after our mental health and well-being.

With the ever changing lockdowns and restrictions, many of us are finding it difficult to cope with everyday life. Our daily routines are all over the place and most of the things that we enjoy doing are in most cases unavailable to us.

Life is difficult at the moment for a great many of us and we all need to look out for each other. In times like this, it is really important that we talk to someone about how we are feeling, it can make such a difference to our mental health and well-being.

Our children are no different, they will also be feeling the affects of the changes that are taking place in their lives. Their normal daily routines have changed dramatically and the really young ones will be struggling to understand what is going on around them.

Help is out there, and it's never been more important that we talk to somebody about how we are feeling, it really will make a difference.

Is there someone in your family or your circle of friends that looks like they are struggling with the affects of this crisis? If so, please talk to them, sometimes that's all it takes to make a difference to someones mental health and well-being.

We have provided some links to organisations who are providing information and support on mental health and well-being to both adults and children for mental health awareness day.

We all sing a song called YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE. Let us all do our best to make sure that nobody does walk alone, including ourselves!
